Cranial Cruciate Ligament Rupture & Medial Patella Luxation

Cranial cruciate ligament rupture and medial patella luxation are among the most common orthopaedic conditions affecting dogs and can cause pain, lameness, and progressive joint disease.

Our specialist surgeon performs these procedures three to four times each week, providing extensive experience and consistent surgical outcomes.

Where appropriate, we offer same-day consultation and surgery to minimise discomfort and streamline treatment.

Recovery is supported by a structured rehabilitation plan, including collaboration with a canine physiotherapist to optimise long-term function.

BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) Surgery

Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) affects many short-nosed breeds including French Bulldogs, Pugs, Bulldogs and Boston Terriers. Narrowed nostrils and an elongated soft palate can restrict airflow, leading to noisy breathing, snoring, exercise intolerance, overheating and respiratory distress.

We provide specialist surgical correction of BOAS to improve airway function and breathing comfort.

Procedures may include:

  • Widening narrowed nostrils (alarplasty)
  • Shortening an elongated soft palate
  • Removal of obstructive airway tissue where required

Surgery can significantly improve breathing, exercise tolerance and overall quality of life. Many owners report reduced snoring, improved energy levels and greater comfort during daily activity following treatment.

Where clinically appropriate, we offer consultation, surgery and same-day discharge, allowing your dog to recover comfortably at home.
